Bradenton attorney Bill Galvano established a strong legislative reputation with his leadership of various powerful House committees during his four terms from 2002-2010.   He served District 68 with distinction by creating the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority and with his accomplishments in health care for children and his support for the disabled.




Bradenton att6-orney Bill Galvano, a Republican, officially qualified to run for the state Senate on Tuesday. Galvano, a former state representative is the only candidate so far to have qualified for the newly redrawn district that includes almost all of Manatee County.




With the 2012 political map reshaped by redistricting, at least 17 termed-out, retired or former legislators are on the comeback trail, seeking to extend their political careers.  Most are Republicans.
